Kobe Bean Bryant (23 August 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. - 26 January 2020 in Calabasas, California, U.S.) was an American professional basketball player who spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a two-time Olympic champion, a five-time NBA champion and a FIBA Americas champion.

Interesting Fact

Bryant had a spectacular high-school career and was named the best basketball player in the nation at high-school level. In one of the NBA seasons, Bryant suffered a broken nose before the semi-final of the All-Star Game. Kobe's team spent hours looking for a mask he would feel comfortable in before the next game, and Kobe even tried to play with foreign objects on his face. However, right before the match he took off the mask and played without it, scoring 39 points which became an addition to the legend. It is known that Bryant was one of the few who joined NBA right after leaving high school. His case was unique.
