Benefits of exercise

Stretching of the level 1 quadriceps on FISIO functional loops.

The quadriceps is a group of muscles that is located on the front side of the thigh.  The quadriceps play an important role in leg movement, maintaining and stability of the knee joint and posture. These muscles are involved in almost any motor activity: walking, running, climbing, descending stairs and other daily movements.

This exercise will help to relax and stretch the muscles of the front surface of the thigh. During the exercise, blood circulation in the hip area improves, which accelerates the recovery process after physical exertion. The flexibility of these muscles will enhance athletic performance. Because a strong and flexible muscle will help prevent injury, expand the range of motion in the joints, and improve coordination. Movements will become free and easy.

A cramped quadriceps, on the contrary, will create an imbalance of the muscles of your body. The load on the lumbar region will increase, the abdominal muscles will become weakened. Back pain, pain in the knee and hip joints may occur.
