Manon Rhéaume (born February 24, 1972 in Beauport, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender and a two-time World Champion.

Interesting Fact

Manon Rhéaume became the first female goaltender to get signed by a professional male club. Ever since she was a girl, she played as a goaltender for a boys' team. One time, Phil Esposito who was a coach for Tampa Bay Lightning club, noticed her in the lineup of one of the junior teams. Not realising that she is a girl, he offered the budding goaltender to take part in the NHL training camp. For several years, Manon played in a farm team, and even partcipated in exhibition games as part of the starting lineup.
